The Consulate General of Hungary in Erbil is temporarily closed due to the heightened security tension in the Kurdistan Region.
During the temporary closure of the diplomatic mission, visa administration—including the processing of both pending and new applications—is suspended. Applicants who have already submitted their requests will be notified once operations resume. In the interim, visa and residence permit applications may be submitted at any other diplomatic mission; the nearest is located in Ankara (Türkiye).
