On 7 September 2025, Consul General Tivadar Takács was received on an introductory visit by Minister Safeen Dizayee, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations of the Kurdistan Regional Government. They discussed the opportunities for further developing bilateral relations and reviewed current regional developments in the meeting.
The Consul General informed Minister Dizayee about the recently implemented and ongoing Hungarian humanitarian and development projects as well as the main results of the bilateral cooperation during the most recent period.
