Checklist for applicants
□ Application form for each person – not undersigned yet by the applicant
□ Passport valid at least 3 months after the intended departure from the Schengen area and with at least two empty pages
□ Paid Visa fee
- for children under 6 years: free
- for children 6-12 yrs: 44 USD
- adults: 88 USD
□ Travel insurance for each person
□ Proving the purpose of travelling
business purpose: invitation letter
tourism: cities, places intended to visit, exact travel plan and documentation (from city to city)
visit: invitation letter from the inviting person in Hungary
medical treatment: certificate of the accepting hospital, documents about fulfilled payments
□ Flight reservation – exact dates are needed; not just from Iraq to the destination and back but if travelling to other countries as well
□ Accommodation reservation or hosting person’s letter about providing accommodation for each destinations
□ Documents regarding the financial means (e.g.: bank statement for at least the past 3 months)
□ Employers support letter including monthly salary, position, duration of employment
□ Documents proving that the applicants will leave the territory of the Schengen states (e.g.: land registration documents about owned real estate property)
Please note that the procedure takes around 15 days so it is important to file all the documents in time - from 3 months to 15 days (usually one month) before the intended travel.
